How come there is two cross
How come there is two cross country Galway races, for novice and masters - 5th and 19th- is it character building for the young lads, and a desire to finish off the masters for good ??!! Also the ladies race at 3k is surely too short, equality and all that??!!!
Sorry for the confusion...
I had an error in this schedule when I first posted it ... but it's fixed now. All of the county adult races will be in Tuam on the 19th (Novice, Intermediate, Junior, Senior, Masters) for both men and women. It just means you have more time to train for then :-)
connaughts could be better timed
Thanks for posting these Mick.
Connaughts on the day before the dublin marathon. About 70% of the people who are eligible for it will be missing because of dublin - everyone seems to be running it at least from mayo and galway this year.
Couldn't Agree More....
Mark - You're absolutely right. I was very surprised to see this date. There are large contingents from Athenry, GCH, Craughwell, Loughrea, GCH and Mayo AC heading to the Dublin Marathon this year. I'm sure that many other Connaught clubs will be represented there as well. It seems very strange to schedule this race the day before a National Marathon. Perhaps there's time for the powers that be to reschedule, I'm not sure.
