The Fields of Athenry will now take place on Sunday 24th January at 1:30pm.

Registration will be open from 12 noon in Presentation college Athenry.



The kids race will take place at 12:30, runners should gather outside the Byne Mech factory.

We have to use a slightly modified course that we used for the National 10km race a few years ago. A map is available here;

As a few people have deferred their entry, a small number of entries will be available on the day on a first-come, first-served basis.

In the event of inclement weather, we will have a course inspection at 10:30am.



If the event is to be rescheduled, we will update the website, and issue texts to participants immediately.

On Jan 10th Mallow 10 miler is on, the first of the Munster Spring Classic Series, please do not clash with that and Westport 5k on Jan 9th as well!

Getting a free date that clashes with no race is pretty much impossible. We have to avoid races within a 50 mie radius.

We hope we don't have to go to the 10th - but I guess we have plan for the worst!
