In the midst of a busy weekend, one notable achievement almost went unnoticed.

Tucked away in the results from the Adare 10km was a prizewinner in the V45 sectiom, Maire Teresa Beatty. Obviously those hard yards at the track are paying off.

In her own words...

Not one to write reports. But it was a lovely day. Started off running, thought I was doing ok but no marker when I thought I should be at 1K. So I thought to myself might be every 2K. Next thing saw a funny looking sign with 1 on it I was at seven minutes said to myself so much for all my hard work in Dangan!!!!! Then thought that might not have anything to do with run. But then I came to 2 and at 23mim saw 3 then I thought God this is marked in Miles !!!! So settled into it. It was grand. I had just finished got back to my car. Going to text my daugher to tell her how I got on. There was a text there from Ray to tell me Bridget Ann and Himself had finished the second marathon in 2 days. So my 10K is very small compared to their great achievement this weekend.

No doubt we'll hear from Ray and Bridget-Anne is due course, but your achievement is not to be taken lightly.
