Seamus Power Winner Streets of Galway 2006

On a perfect night for running, Seamus Power continued his return to good form by winning the Future sponsored Streets of Galway 8K Road Race last Saturday night. The usual flawless organisation by host club GCH saw nearly 1,500 runners lined up and ready to go at the advertised starting time of 7:30pm. The atmosphere was electric as runners headed out on the course to pit themselves against eight kilometres of the Galway 'Streets'. There was great strength in depth in both the men's and women's elite fields with Seamus Power of Kilmurry Ibrickane/North Clare and Rosemary Ryan of Bilboa winning their respective races.
