Paul Hession at Athenry 10k

Athenry sprinter Paul Hession bowed out of the European Athletics Championships last evening at the semi-final stage. Paul never recovered from an unusually slow start to finish seventh in his semi-final race and posted a time of 21:09. Undoubtedly Paul will be dissapointed with this run, as he had the talent and ability to make the final, but the experience he has gained at a major championships will stand him in fine stead for the future. All of Paul's fellow members at Athenry AC send him their heartiest congratulations on some fine racing in Gothenburg.
