Athenry AC athlete Paul Hession has this morning qualified from his first round heat of the men's 200m. at the European Athletics Championships in Sweden. Paul ran a time of 20:81 in finishing second in his heat and therefore qualifies automatically for the next round which takes place at 5:30pm Irish time this evening.

This is 11th fastest of the Semi finalists, so hopefully he can find a few 100ths somehwhere and make the final.
