Ashamed to report only 6 miles (I was on holiday!)

10 Miles
4. Where's you favourite place to train?
The Peak Forest Canal when I lived in England, today it would be the Phoenix Park.
5. What's your favourite race or event each year?
Dublin Marathon (Boston Marathon is THE best, but only been once).
6. What annoys you most at races?
Walkers who line up at the front and walk three abreast as mid pack runners try to get through. Race etiquette please!
7. What race, that you haven't yet run, would you most like to take part in?
New York Marathon
8. What was your best-ever running performance?
Breaking 60 minutes for 10 miles for the first time, and doing so by 1 minute and 20 seconds - a long while ago now - distant memories
9. What was your worst-ever running performance?
National X-Country in Killybegs a couple of years ago - Let myself down by dropping out when running last.
10. What's the strangest thing that you've ever seen on a training run?
A bear when in the US (Maine) - It was far enough away, but scared the sh** out of me anyway.
11. Favourite piece of running gear?
Cycle shorts to stop me chaffing!
12. Who would you most enjoy beating in a sprint for the line?
Mick Rice (Yeh, like that will ever happen!)
13. What was the best bit of training advice you were ever given?
”If it is to be, it is up to me.” - 10 Little words of motivation that say it all.
14. In ten years time will you still be running?
Too right!
15. If for some reason you were told you could never run again, how do you think you'd react?
My body would be overjoyed, my mind would go mad!
16. Have you ever been bitten by a dog while running?
Not quite, but a boxer dog once managed to grab my shorts and rip them without catching the flesh!
17. Have you ever had to stop for an emergency 'Paula' during a race?
Yep. In a Half Marathon in Warrington, England, in an urban race, I managed to find the only bushes in the town centre to go behind, and they were small, and was I embarrassed.
18. Favourite post-race food?
Beer :)
19. Most embarrassing ever running-related moment?

20. The greatest Irish Athlete of all time is/was?
Ronnie Delaney (His book is a must-read and xmas present for any runner)
