Moylough hosted three road races on Sunday, 16 October 2016: a 1.5km race for children, followed by an untimed 5km and finally a permitted 10km. 

The weather was wet, cold and miserable but that didn't stop 99 brave souls gathering at the start line. Athenry AC had a great day out!

Jane Ann Meehan won the women's race in 37:24, finishing 10th overall. Yvonne Fehilly was second woman home, coming very close to breaking the 40 barrier in 40:10.

Chris Deakin won his age category while clocking a PB of 37:21. Bernie Mulryan also won her age category in 47.13.

Also running from the club were David Meehan 37:11 finishing in 7th place. Donal Leahy 42:32, Enda Munnelly 47:13. Congrats to all!
