The Terenure 5 Mile (formerly known as the "Dublin 5 Mile Classic") took place yesterday. It is a fast 1.5 lap course which starts and ends at Terenure College. In it's 30th year the field of over 1250 was stacked with top Irish talent such as Mark Christie, Freddy Keron Situk and Olympian Mark Kenneally, Athenry's Lyall Guiney finished 43rd in a time of 29.27. Also running were long time friends of the club and former members, Kenyan duo Peter Brandon Somba (5th - 24.24) & Lezan Kimutai (9th - 26.07) with member Liam Mycroft finishing in 40.10.
