Athenry AC fielded a very competitive team at last weekends Connacht Indoor Championships bringing home a substantial medal haul.  These championships are important in the juvenile calendars as they serve as qualifiers for the National Juvenile Championships later this month.  Every single athlete gave a good account of themselves and each and every one should be proud of their performances.  There were 12 individual medal winners bringing home 18 medals and it could have been even more with several of our relay teams coming agonisingly close.  The U12 boys team came 4th just 4/100s of a second behind third place (this equates to less than 20cm behind).  The medal winners who are now eligible to go to the National Juvenile Championships are:-
