Congratulations are due to the ever youthful Martin Keane as provisional results place him third in the 70 - 74 category in the National Half Marathon which was held in Dublin last Monday. Martin finished in a time of 2.05.10, just three & a half minutes off second place. Amazingly 1st place in the age group, Christy McGonagle, City of Derry, posted a fantastic 1.37.35.

At the top end of proceedings Mick Clohissey continued his succesful year with first place overall in a time of 1.05.55, beating his Raheny Shamrocks teammate Freddy Kerron Situk by one & a half minutes to take the title with Serguie Ciobanu placing third a further 30 seconds back.

The ladies race was convincingly won by Sarah Mulligan in a time of 1.16.03, over four minutes to her closest competitor Ailish Malone with Norah Newcombe completing the podium.
