Coldwood National School 4 Mile Run – Sunday, 27th January @ 12.00 pm
Coldwood National School, in conjunction with Craughwell Athletic Club, is holding a 4 mile run as a fundraiser to help develop its new sports field.
This attractive circuit has been measured to AAI standards and has been approved by the Galway Board. There will also be chip timing on the day.
Coldwood National School is situated on the N6 , between Oranmore and Craughwell, ½ KM on the Craughwell side of Mother Hubbards.
The 4 Mile Run begins at the school and takes in a picturesque route straddling the parishes of Athenry and Craughwell. It includes the townlands of Caherfinsker and Moneytigue. The race ends back at the school where there will be a gantry and an MC.
The cost of entry is €15. Registration is online with runireland.com and is available on the day at the school from 10.00am to 11.30am. Changing facilities, refreshments and parking will all be provided at the school.
Kevin Quirke, race co-ordinator, the race committee and Harry Monson, principal, are grateful to Tony Nevin and Val Fogarty of Craughwell AC and also James Lundon, Athenry AC for their advice and input.
