Colemanstown United F.C. are holding a 10k run on Easter Monday 25th April 2011 @ 12 noon. It is open to runners 18 years and over.

Online registration is available through www.RunIreland.com.

The cost of registration for the 10k is €16 for early entries before Friday 18th March and €20 for all entries after that date. On-line entries cannot be made after Friday April 22nd at 12 noon. Registration will be accepted on the morning of the run between 10.00 am and 11.30 am.

A lovely rural run in the country through a scenic part of County Galway, approx 5 miles from Monivea Village, that touches on a forest and part of the route runs parallel to what was once a Quakers Farm .c 2km marker. This race takes place on a tar road and is a fast flat loop course. A permit from the Athletics Association of Ireland has been granted and the course has been officially measured using a Jones Counter.

This race will be chip timed by red tag timing and results will be available on the Athenry AC web site following the event.

Runners collect their numbers and timing chip from 10.00 am until 11:30am on the morning of race in the Colemanstown United F.C. clubhouse.

The playing pitch & training grounds will also be available for warm up & warm down prior to & after the race.

A fantastic cash prize fund kindly sponsored by Frank & Bernie Burke, Colemanstown for the first 3 Men and Women, novelty prizes for category winners O/40, O/50 and O/60 Male & Female.

A token gift will be given to all participants.

1k fun run for children commces at 11 am with a medal for all who complete the course. All participants in this category will have to be asembled at the club house no later than 10.40 am.

Hot Showers and segerated changing facilities available on site.

Prizes will be presented on the day by veteran runner Willie Morris (health permitting) once all competitors have completed the course.

Light refreshments will be provided on the day.

Parking will be clearly signposted and stewarded on the day of the event.

Funds raised in the event will be used for development of a second playing pitch at Colemanstown United F.C.
