The under 9, 10 and 11 national finals were held last weekend in Templemore.
Athletes compete in pairs, congratulations to the14 pairs and 4 relay teams from Athenry qualified for the finals.
Athenry athletes won 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 relay gold.
The gold medal winners were Shea Hennessy and Owen Lawless under 9 ball throw and Brandon Lee and Dean Treacey under 10 600m and the silver medal winners Brandon McMenamin and James Oliver Dempsey under 11 600m.
The under 11 girls relay won gold Alysha Woods, Lydia Doyle, Niamh Hannon and Siobhan Mc Grath.
The other Athenry competitors were Danielle Woods and Danielle Collins 9th under 9 500m, Oisin Rowe and Aubrey O Brien 6th and Michael Coleman and Brandon Lee 9th under 10 60m, Oisin Rowe and Fabian Mangan 6th under 10 600m, Dean Treacey and Fabian Mangan 7th under 10 ball throw, Michael Coleman and Aubrey O Brien 5th under 10 long jump, Sarah Gilhooley and Tino Laton 10th under 10 60m, Sarah Gilhooley and Tino Laton 11th under 10 long jump, Alysha Woods and Niamh Hannon 4th by .01 second under 11 60m, Lydia Doyle and Niamh Hannon 7th under 11 600m, Brandon McMeniamin and James Oliver Dempsey 7th 600m under 11.
The other relays placings were under 10 an unlucky 4th Brandon Lee, Oisin Rowe, Michael Coleman and Aubrey O Brien, under 10 girls 7th Sarah Gilhooley, Tinp Laton, Eniola Laton and Molly Foley and under 11 boys 5th James Oliver Dempsey, Cathal Hynes, Brandon McMenamin and Cillian Lawless.
