The Headford 8km attracted its largest ever entry last Saturday evening despite mixed weather.

As expected the race went off without a hitch and the facilities on offer at the local GAA club were superb. Once again Regina Casey and Gerry Ryan were first past the post in the men's and women's races. Three Athenry men made the top ten with Mick Rice, Johnny O'Connor and Brian Bruton to the fore. Deirdre Quinn and Grainne Breen flew the flag for the Athenry women.
