Athenry AC sprint sensation Paul Hession will be in action this weekend at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Turin, Italy. Paul is entered in the 60m, a distance in which, although it is far short of his specialisation, he has met with some considerable success previously.

The men's 60m competition gets underway on Saturday next at 10:00am local time (09:00am Irish Time). It's a matter of great pride to every member of Athenry AC, and indeed everyone who lives in Galway, that we have a representative in Italy this weekend. Of course we send Paul and the rest of the Irish team our very best wishes for the weekend ahead and hope that they all run or jump or throw well and that Paul in particular sets himself up for a great summer of competition on the tracks of Europe.

The final starting lists for all events will be posted at http://www.european-athletics.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=7144&Itemid=2 when they become available but at the time of this posting they were not visible.
