The ever so popular Portumna Forest marathon races were sold out early. Well done to all the Athenry AC members that took part including Myriam Shaughnessy (50k), Maeve Noone, Janet Clancy, Marie Coyne and PJ Tarpey (Half marathon).
Dante Aquino took first place in the full marathon. It was his second marathon in as many weeks having came fourth in Kinvara.
Great running also from Adam Leadbetter saw him take second place in the 50k ultra and earn a Boston qualifying time in the process.
