The fourth annual Mayfly 10km took place yesterday Sunday (24 May) in Oughterard. The course is a challenging one but ultimately rewarding as it takes in some of the most beautiful views along the shore of Lough Corrib.

Starting in the heart of Oughterard Viillage the race continued out the scenic Glann Road and along the lakeside on the high road and finishing back in the village.

Her second year to take part in this race, Deirdre Brophy, making her debut in Athenry AC colours, was the second woman to cross the line in 42.59 mins. Congrats Deirdre!

Members from the club also helped the organiser produce the final result, which can be obtained from here and attached.
