It was a successful weekend on the roads for the club with two members placing first in races across the country.
In Portarlington on Saturday morning, Dee Grady ran a 3.20.19 marathon for a 16minute PB, 6th place overall & first female home at the Marathon des Escargots. Dee is showing great form recently & also had a podium finish & sub 19 5k in the Shannon Airport Runway 5k last weekend.
Closer to home today in the Barnaderg 5k, Tomasz Kadzielawski took first place with a time of 18.52 showing he is still carrying his good form from the 5k Series into the summer months.
In Kiltimagh yesterday we had four members taking part in the Race 2 Glory adventure race. Consisting of a 10k Mountain run, 23k cycle & 7k run, the weather conditions on the day made for a challenging event. Ronan McCarthy was first member home in a time of 2.08.15 & 17th overall with David Noone, Drew Davison & Ian Pomphrett all finishing under the 2.25.
