The fifth hosting of the popular and successful Athenry Fit4Life 5km Charity Run / Walk will take place on Saturday November 08th 2014 @ 12.00pm in the town of Athenry.

Proceeds of this years event will benefit two very deserving local charities in Western Alzheimers & the Saving Grace Foundation.

This 5km Fit4Life race is open to all runners but is primarily targeted at Fit4Life members in Galway City, County & neighbouring counties. Many Fit4Life runners use this event to take part in their very first race & it often acts as a first step to some successful running careers. This is a race by Fit4Life runners for Fit4Life runners as the race is organised & run by F4L'ers.

This years event takes place on a new route in the town of Athenry (Same route as this years Athenry leg of the 5k series). Route map available here.

Registration will be held on the day from 10.00am (Registration location to be confirmed at a later date) & the entry fee is brilliantly valued at €10. We will have toilets & parking available at registration. There will be post-race refreshments available to all and prize presentation will be held at the registration hall.

There will be prizes for the first Senior Male & Female registered Fit4Life runners plus each participant will receive a commemorate medal.

Pacers will be provided at 2min intervals from 26mins to 36mins. Pacers will have Hi Vis tops indicting what time they are pacing & they will be at the start 15min before the race.

The race starts at 12pm sharp, so please arrive out to Athenry in plenty of time to register, collect your race number and find which pacer you wish to follow. The start is a 2min jog from the registration hall.

Parking will be available in local Car Parks & on street parking in Athenry (Most are free, some are Pay & Display). Marshalls will be on hand on the day to direct you to relevant Car Parks.
