The 2009 running of the Fields of Athenry 10km road race eventualy took place just a few short weeks ago - in 2010. For many of us this race is a milestone in the running calendar. We look back on previous editions to see how the race has evolved, and hopefully, improved with each passing year. One thing that hasn't changed much over the years is the benign presence of John O'Connor, an accomplished runner himself, with his trusty cameras. We have been delighted over the years with John's contribution to our 10k, and many other events around the county. He allows us to reflect on our moments of glory and infamy at our leisure.

John's latest contribution, a gallery of 350 high quality photographs, from this year's 10k has now been posted for your enjoyment. If you were at the race this year there's a good chance that you'll appear somewhere - preserved forever.
