Local sports photographer John O'Connor has produced another beautiful collection of athletics related photography. On this occasion John has turned his attention to this year's edition of the Anglo Celtic Plate 100k (http://www.celtic100k.com/) which took place a couple of weeks ago in Salthill. This is an annual international match between Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales at the distance of 100k. This year teams from Germany also took part and their presence added greatly to the occasion.

As you might guess this isn't an event for either the feint hearted or the beginner. John has produced an insightful photographic record of the event which captures much of the subtle drama of the occasion.
