Runners sometimes bemoan the lack of top class races to take part in. Well, we've just received news of an absolute cracker that should have you training all through Christmas. The Dungarvan 10 Mile Road race, sponsored by Quantum Life, will take place on Sunday February the 1st at 01:00pm at the Sports Centre (close to the parish church).

This year's event is supported by both Quantum Life and Dungarvan Town Council and looks set to be an absolutely fabulous day out for runners of all standards. There are prizes and time bonuses to tempt the super-fast and goodie bags, chip timing, long sleeved training tops and PB potential for the rest of us.

A good number of Athenry AC runners, including myself, have made the trip over to Dungarvan for this race in recent times, and host club West Waterford AC sure know how to put on a show.
