Round 2 - Photo Finish
Paul Hession produced a season's best performance in the second round of the 200m at the European Championships in Gothenburg yesterday in qualifying for the semi-finals. Paul placed third in his heat and his time in the heat ranks him 11th out of the remaining 16 competitors going into the semi-finals, although only a slight improvement could see him qualify for a place in the finals.
As always, we wish Paul all the very best in his remaining races.
Paul failed to make the final
Despite having what seemed to be a terrible start, Paul gave a good account of himself but it wasn't enough this time.
On a more positive note, his performances and times at these championships have proven that he is able to match it at this level, and there is plenty more to come.
