The much-awaited final took place recently at the Athenry AC (Senior) Christmas party.

Peter retained his title against first-time challenger Mark.

Peter's experience of the big occasion shone through as this YouTube video amply displays.

After a prolonged stewarts inquiry at the bar afterwards, Peter's victory was allowed to stand but only after Peter had bought the stewarts copious amounts of Club Orange and sometimes stronger.

I have since heard that Mark Breen is back in training for a re-match later this year. A specially constructed table has been installed out the Moycullen Road for intensive training.
